AI just moved from a separate tab into your Slack. And it is no longer waiting to be asked.
Anthropic just launched Claude Tag, a feature that lets Claude operate as an actual team member inside Slack, not a chatbot you open separately when you need it.
The difference sounds small. It changes everything about how AI gets used inside an organization.
Before, AI was a personal tool. You opened a tab, typed a question, got an answer, closed it. Nobody on the team knew what you were doing with it. No context was shared. Nothing was carried forward.
At Anthropic, 65% of the product team’s code is now created by their internal version of Claude Tag.
This is not a story about a smarter model. It is a story about location. AI sitting in a separate tab loses to AI sitting inside the space where your team already works every day.
The question is no longer “is AI good enough?” The question is “is your AI in the right place?”
